New Followers don’t need to have the Dexcom G7 app on their smartphone. They only need to download the Dexcom Follow app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Existing Followers don’t need to download the Dexcom Follow app again if it’s already installed on their smartphone. When a Dexcom G6 user who uses the Share feature of their Dexcom G6 app upgrades to Dexcom G7 and the Dexcom G7 app, existing Followers come with them. Followers should be able to continue monitoring their Sharer with no extra steps.
