Diabetes Technology: Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes—2019

For the first time the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has added a dedicated section on diabetes technology to the Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes. In this year’s guidelines, CGM is further defined as either real-time (rt)CGM or intermittently scanned (is)CGM, and key recommendations have a greater focus on rtCGM use.
