Will Dexcom G7/G7 15 Day have the same insurance coverage as G6?

  • Dexcom G7: Yes, if a patient had insurance coverage for Dexcom G6, they will have coverage for Dexcom G7.
  • Dexcom G7 15 Day: Yes, the majority of patients will have coverage for Dexcom G7 15 Day. 100% of Medicare patients using insulin or with a history of severe hypoglycemia have coverage*. Commercial coverage with be at parity with Dexcom G6 shortly after launch.

*Under Medicare’s DME fee schedule, reimbursement and coinsurance for CGM’s using CPT codes A4239 and E2103, are the same, regardless of CGM brand.

Send a new prescription for Dexcom G7 or Dexcom G7 15 day to the patient's pharmacy or durable medical equipment (DME) supplier and they will confirm coverage with the patient.
