If you have patients who are existing Omnipod 5 users, make sure their Pods that are compatible with both the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (Dexcom G6) System and the Dexcom G7 system. These are marked in the upper right corner of the sensor box in green. This means the pods will be compatible with the Dexcom G7 15 Day sensors.
No. Even though the Omnipod 5 system is approved for ages two and up, the Dexcom G7 15 Day sensor is only approved for adults 18 years and older1. Patients younger than 18 use the Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (Dexcom G7) System sensor2 with their Omnipod 5 pump.
